This past weekend I camped along the Kern River. This time we were located on the upper portion in one of the many sanctioned campgrounds, this one called Goldledge. It was an adrenaline filled trip with fun river floats, waterfall relaxing, F-16’s dog fighting overhead, coming face to face with a black bear raiding my cooler for food and doing some fishing. It was a different experience then lower Kern camping and it is hard to decide which I enjoy more. I guess each spot on the Kern has it’s pro’s and con’s.
