Sister in Spain

My sister Aimee is currently on a 200 mile WALKING pilgrimage in Spain called the Camino de Santiago. The intense hike is testing her mentally and physically but she is staying strong and it sounds like she is really enjoying herself. Aimee is keeping us updated via her blog which can be seen here! If you have her contact information, please send her some positive words of encouragement. Good luck little sis!

Steve and Tiff got married this weekend in Palm Springs. The venue was amazing and everyone had a great time.

Brown’s Park in Laguna Beach

Posted: 01/24/2012 by goodie in hikes, travel

Brown’s Park in downtown Laguna is a hidden gem missed by many. Sculpture, poetry, stained glass and an incredible view make this a good spot to gain some inspiration. A home used to stand here but was donated to the city by the family after the home was destroyed in a winter storm swell.

The poem reads:In this fleeting moment, what extravagant respite, as booming surf speaks its, mystical passage across, the undreamed depths.

Let me live in a house by the side of the sea,Where men and women wander byWhere there is beauty and grace and excitement that's freeOn the beach, in the sun let me lieLet me listen to ocean's melodious roarAnd its rhythm, so soothing to hearAs the foam-covered waves seem to reach for the shoreUnder skies that are sunny and clear.-Joseph E. NorCal New Year Trip

Posted: 01/02/2012 by goodie in travel

I have been up north for the last few days and enjoyed the New Year amongst friends in San Luis Obispo.  We began our journey with some camping in Jalama Bay and then toured around the surrounding northern beaches of Cayucos, Morro Bay, Avila, San Luis Bay, Montan de Oro and Pismo. Lots of good times and some big surf.

The Big Island of Hawaii

Posted: 08/09/2011 by goodie in travel, Uncategorized, Vacation

Last week I was out of town enjoying vacation on the Big Island. We stayed in downtown Kona but pretty much toured around the entire island. We had an incredible time checking out beaches, waterfalls and other highlights of the island. I was lucky enough to snorkel with wild dolphins and Annika and I also got kicked out of the water because of a recent shark sighting. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

Wow.  All I can say after our epic powder day.  If we get fresh snow this weekend I may be back up there on Sunday!
