Thursday morning offered up the launch of the Falcon rocket which was not visable from HQ but about 20 minutes later this beautiful sunrise rainbow appeared. It was a full rainbow and it ended just out in front of HQ…..no pot of gold found.

Mutant Thanksgiving 2016

The Starfish Flower Cactus on our patio have been blooming several of these flowers over the past two months. These flowers bud for several weeks and when they bloom, the flower only last two or so days and attracts lots of fly’s.
If you missed the HB Airshow last weekend don’t let that happen next year. The jets flew right over HQ several times and we saw one jet punch the sound barrier.
Was this the last scorching weekend of 2016? Is fall upon us? Only time will tell.
This is Sunday’s sunset….a true gem. Last week we saw two green flashes on consecutive sunsets.

Yes, we are having a Mutant Thanksgiving party this year but no, I can not post this year’s poster on my site due to content; look for it up at HQ. We will be deep frying turkeys and having lots to drink. See you at 6:30 on this coming Wednesday the 25th. BYOB and a 5 dollar donation to charity.

Reported shark encounter with a surfer near Santa Ana River Jetties. Beach was still closed as of this morning with lifeguards making announcements over their loudspeakers. Also strange to note that all lifeguard towers were displaying the red flag after news of a shark in the water. The TV helicopters were above for a few hours as well. Over the past weekend I had a friend tell me he had seen a large fin out in front of HQ.
