This is the second year of West Newport’s 4th of July is for Families Parade. The event reflects a continuing effort by the city to tone down the 4th of July party environment in the Newport Beach area. As usual there will be a huge police presence and the the city usually spends more then $200,000 in public safety efforts during that one day. If you plan on coming to the area, read the Police rules here and follow them. On another note, I spoke with Sanjee, manager at Circle K and he showed me all the beer they have received in preparation for the 4th. Let me tell you I have never seen that much beer in one place.
