2800 Gallons of Sewage

Yesterday in Newport Harbor, 2800 gallons of raw sewage spilled into the harbor. The cause was supposedly from the recent dredging of the toxic sludge bottom. The waters just east of Balboa Island remain closed today due to the sewage spill. A private company has been dredging the harbor for several months and we have been seeing the sand filled barges go up the coast to drop at a disposal station in Long Beach.
